Durga: Goddess of the Day

Durga is a fierce goddess in the Hindu pantheon. She pre-dates the Aryans. She is the mother, the origin, of other gods such as Ganesh, Kali, Saraswati & Chinnamasta. She was mistakenly referred to in another post as a demi-god in a branch of Hinduism. Durga is no one's half goddess or lesser goddess. She is a main goddess, a force to be reckoned with, and petitioned when one needs invincibility on one's side because that is how she is known: One who cannot be defeated.
